What kind of pain can you treat?
Miami Pain & Diagnostics can treat all types of pain, including acute and chronic nociceptive pain, neuropathic, visceral, and cancer pain.
I don’t want to have a procedure done on me right away. Do you offer conservative treatment?
Yes. All of our pain physicians are experts in medical management of pain in addition to interventional management. Each patient and situation is unique and assessed on an individual basis.
I’ve tried conservative treatment in the past without success. What kind of interventional techniques are available?
Our pain physicians are experts in interventional pain management in addition to medical management. Some interventions that our physicians may consider include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, trigger point injections, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulators, kyphoplasty.
I don’t want to stop my other treatments. Should I still be seen by a pain physician?
Miami Pain & Diagnostics utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to treat pain. In addition to providing treatments that other doctors may not, our pain physicians can coordinate your overall care with all of your healthcare providers. We work closely with healthcare professionals from all specialties including internal medicine, physical therapy, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and psychiatry.
I’ve only had my pain for a short time. Is it too early to see a pain physician?
It is never too early to see a pain physician. If you’re in pain, Miami Pain & Diagnostics can help. Our goal is to get you pain free as quick as possible.
Will the procedure hurt?
You will be sedated for the procedure. You might have some pain at injection sites for 24 to 48 hours afterwards, however, most people find this minimal.
How long will I benefit from the procedure?
The goal of treatment is complete recovery. The doctor will completely explain the benefits of the particular procedure chosen for your treatment.
Will I be pain free?
Our objective is full resolution of your illness and 100 percent pain relief but remember that there can be no guarantees in medicine.
Does insurance cover the procedure?
Yes, our procedures are covered by insurance. We will verify coverage for every procedure.
